I haven't been to Turk's in years and it was always good. Just had lunch there and it's still great! I had the fish sandwich deluxe platter with fries and coleslaw. The fish was fresh and big! My friend had the scallops with a baked potato and he said they were the best he had in years. Our waitress was very nice and our food was hot and came out quickly. I definitely will be back soon!

Tender fish in a great fish sandwich sold me on returning here in my next travel visit to connecticut.b Well prepped sweet potato fries and coke slow hit the spot. Waitress was like an old friend though I'd never met her. Great view of the ocean. Good times

Fast service but I don't like the unseasoned food. My friend likes it so he eats there most of the time. Not my preference.

They have the best seafood around, have been going there since I was a kid when it was part of the old Savin Rock. Better than the place across the street, ahem just my opinion 😉

Turks has the best seafood! I live in California and visit Connecticut every year. Never miss Turks at least twice for their shrimp and scallop platter. California has lousy food. I have to travel 3000 miles for a good meal. Stay in business. I'll be back next year 2020...

I’ve been coming here for years. It’s one of my first stops when I come in from the airport and I call it in. I can’t get scallops this sweet in Texas so I make sure I do when I get to Connecticut. The seafood isn’t dried out when you get it. It has two dining rooms with different atmospheres and the prices are reasonable.

Food was great as it always is love their onion rings and hotdogs, but anything I have had there is great, definitely worth trying it and the beach atmosphere makes it even better.

If you're looking for some great seafood or some amazing hot dogs then this is the place to stop. came here the other night with the family and had some fried clam strips and a few hot dogs.The kids love it because all the kids meals come and an old fashioned car basket. it's also a relatively quick drive from Kirk's to the beach so after you're done eating you can go for a nice stroll.Turks as a staple of West Haven and everyone should stop in at least once.

Just had a hot dog and sweet potato fries and found this piece of stranded string in the fries! Looks like a huge piece of hair ! Gross!!

Turks is a great McDonald's of seafood which is to say a fairly common menu. Certainly not the Captain's Galley that used to be nearby but still not bad Seafood at a reasonable price. Service is warm and friendly. Great view of the Long Island Sound. Plenty of parking.

Excellent food. We ordered Fish and Chips Blue Plate, Fish Sandwich Deluxe and Lobster Bisque & Fries. The batter was light and crisp on the fish. Bisque was rich. Coleslaw was tasty and fries were perfect in crispiness and generous in portion. Had leftovers of everything to bring home. Service was super friendly. Felt like family. Will definitely go again!!! Reasonable prices!

First time, last time.... seafood was bland, belly clams no briney bite, platter simply tasted like old seafood.... Daang, 31$'s wasted!!! Does not recommend at all.

Favorite place for seafood. Fair price for the quality food you receive. Everyone who loves fried seafood should try it. In my opinion may not be on beach or directly across from boardwalk but it's better than any of those.

Family owned must-visit landmark of West Haven. Best soft shell crab, fish sandwiches, RI style clam chowder, split hotdogs ( first invented in West Haven, CT ) and so much more. Take out or dine in. Located right across from the beach.

I've been eating at Savin Rock roasting company & decided to give Turks a shot. Mistake...maybe. I did not think their seafood was as fresh. The portions were very small in comparison to Savin Rock. The batter on the fried food was thick and greasy, and it tasted lile grease. A simple chage of the pil would help that. The waitress seemed like she had been working there for years and was very comfortable with her somewhat relaxed attitude. It is not a place I would return to.

Not the cheapest place out there but it's a lot cheaper than eating at Jimmy's across the street. Fried seafood plates are very good!

I ordered the broiled combo... absolutely no flavor in it at all. Nothing had salt on it... completley bland... I'm giving it a 2 stars because I like the mixed vegetables that came with my meal... I will give it another chance and order something different... but you cant just throw a bunch of seafood in a dish with no seasonings what so ever, (and I mean none) serve it with drawn butter and charge 22 bucks for it.... please add so flavor to the food. Waitress was nice. Place was nice and quaint...

Bad service and the The waitress ended up forgetting about us for hours and hours.. Not very cool to be forgotten about and then have a waitress come up to you and ask you if you've been sold and when you go and tell him know we haven't been so beautiful waitresses and no one comes and takes your order and at the end when you getting ready to go and leave that's when you get a chance so free, I shouldn't be the case..

As a native of West Haven I have had seafood from many other restaraunts but this is one of the freshest. The coating is not super thick. Shrimp are pretty good size and delicious. Clam strips and scallops delicious too and of course good old fashioned hummels hot dogs and thick, crinkle cut fries.

Food is excellent, service ok, prices moderate, ambiance ok, access easy, parking free and plentiful

This was by far the worst place to eat especially seafood. Staff were unprepared and unpleasant. Staff were seen eating where customers were seated to eat. Super unprofessional. Food was okay but a very weird combo. As part of meal I received toast with garlic seasoning a butter like breakfast time. Our server also slammed all our of beverages on th table and even reached without excusing herself in front of my father when passing an item to my mother. We will never go back unless this place does a 360.

The seafood is good but the last two times we went were for hot dogs and fries. Great fries.

I have loved this place since I was a lil youngin with my grandpa and my dad so many years ago there's nothing better than growing up on the beach and enjoying these restaurants that are still there enjoy

The shrimp were hard and disgusting.. I'm truly upset at the quality of seafood they served my family....also the food wasn't seasoned and the coleslaw was reminiscent of a mayonnaise salad..the most unpleasant shrimp platter hands down...no thank you..

Laurie waitress was very courteous, friendly and accommodating. Seated immediately after walking in. Order taken within 5 minutes of being seated. Mozzarella sticks tasty not overly good. Salad was fresh and balsamic dressing ok. Seafood combo (scallops, butterfly shrimp and scrod) fried and lightly breaded. Fresh and good. For most part older crowd. Thank you again Laurie. We will be back!!!

The seafood is wonderful.

In need of an upgrade but the food is just as good as it has always been. Wait staff is also just as pleasant and kind as always.
